Happy Friendship Day-2

Happy Friendship Day!!!!!

Well!! A second part or rather a second post on same topic :) Friendship is always the best thing that can happen in your life.

This time I will tell about new bunch of friends who became my best buddies I ever had :) No, I have not forgotten my old buddies, its just that I want to thank them :)

Almost an year and half before, I came to stay as a PG(paying guest) at a house near my office. The very same day, a tall but timid girl almost at the age of my sister, Preethi, joined as PG and both of us were is same room. There were 3 in our room. The other roomie was old grumpy female. Preethi was homesick, volatile but innocent. I have always seen her has a kid as she is young(NOT that I am old). We teamed up against our other roomie and we became good close friends. She is innocent, loving, yet short tempered sometimes. I admire the way she loves her brother, Prasanth. Prashanth a lovable, caring and responsible brother. Love you Preethi for everything you do and especially the way you are.

In another room there were 2 girls, Hridya and Preeja. Both warned us about our other roomie. And me and preethi always went to their room. Ate with them, went out with them, watched movies together, went to temples together. I never knew when I became close to Hridya and Preeja.

Me and Preeja used to talk for hours and hours.  She looks like a introvert to most, but she is not. She is a girl who cares and loves people near to her extravagantly. A person with heart of gold. Her respect towards her parents is admirable. I respect her for how she carefully sacrifices for the people whom she loves. An admirable person she is. Love you for that dear…

Hridya… A person who was deeply in love. She knows how to maintain each and every relations. A good planner, yet humorous, a kiddo sometimes, beautiful,  a person with immense determination. I love to go shopping with her.  She is everybody’s best friend. A good listener. Love you dear for all those little things you do to show that you care.

Me and preethi changed our room after fighting with our roomie. And one day, a girl came to our room, carrying her 2 big suitcases. She had only one thing to say “njan kalayanam kazhichu vegam povum”(I will get married soon and go from here). Archana. She passed on positive energy to each and every one who talked to her. She has  very good humor sense which we call pj(poor jokes). A person who loves everybody near her. Adorable. Loving and caring and hardworking. Love you honey for all you pjs and for what you are.

We five have shared everything together, did almost everything together. We have same wavelength and frequency. I never thought I would be close to anybody like this, but they showed me, girls are the bestest friends a girl can have. We discussed everything under the sun and beyond that. You make me smile each day.  I have had lifetime’s fun with you guys. Love you guys. You are the best… Ummmaaaahhhhh…

Happy friendship day to everyone who have a friend :)

Well!!! to me friendship is a sweet feeling, a rare gift from God. I believe there is no one with out a friend. No, no I’m not talking from fairytale world. See, in this world you will have atleast one best friend, a person you can trust, a person who will stand for you in all odds. It is God. You shout at Him when you angry, laugh with him, He will hold you when you are falling, protect you from bad. Still you don’t release His goodness. You try to see all these goodness in another human being. And ofcourse, a few lucky ones find their best friends in this world :)

I have got a best friend and yes, I’m one of the lucky ones.
But today I’m going to tell about a bunch friends I have.
I started making friends at the age of three. I had 2 friends, kids of my family friends. We grew up together, played together, went to school together. We did almost everything together until we went to school.
One these guys, cried when he was put in a different school. He wanted to join me in my school. He was so stubborn that his parents had to go his way :)
We both were in same class. I called him Anu, and other friend of mine was our senior, he was in 1st standard and me and Anu was in LKG. I called my other friend srikuttan( he is married now, grown out of that name!!!).
School was a place where I had a hell a lot of friends, I had friends in every class. Me and my friends had fun and frolic at school, enjoyed every moment there.
As I grew up my friend circle also grew, but Anu left school when we were in 3rd std, after his mom’s demise. I still have the taste of biryani, she made for us.
And Srikuttan was my senior and slowly started drifting away. I never felt this gap, I accepted it because he was very shy, never talked to girls. Don’t have a gentleman image for him because later he got “Mr pancharra kuttan(Mr flirt)” title at his college :D
My school also gave life long friendships. I have 2 friends, Ajith and Manjusha, who are my friends from LKG. They know me better than anyone else. They were there with in every step of my life. Thank you so much for standing with me. I love you soooo much :)
I made friends with so many people, Ajayan, Ajay, Prajeesh, Nandini, Premaja, Shridyas, Prajith, Prashanth, Debashree, Anamika, Anjali, Nimisha….
The list is very big, it will take more than one page.
I lost contact with many but still have contact with some.
The base of friendship at school was innocence. There is a unbreakable bond between us. Its pure, sacred and unselfish.

I made few friends at my tuition class. Nilna, she was the best, Farasha, the butterfly, Surya and Vandana.

At college too I made good friends. Lovely damsels were they, some good at heart, always ready to help, some little selfish(mind you only very few were selfish), some too good, some very friendly, some shy, but all were my friends and good friends too.

I should be doing injustice if I don’t name my good friends at college. Priyanka, the tomboy(now she is not so, I was surprised to see her now), Krithika, the sweet doll like, Aarthi priya, the lovable, Kavi priya, the helpful one. Then there was Geetha, Saranya, Krishna priya, Banupriya, Durgapriya, Kalaivani, Durga, Sangeetha, Jeevitha, Krithaka, Elakayia, Gayathri, Anju…. Here also the list is too big.
I had a very good friend, people always misunderstood her, but she was very sweet, very comforting and too good, Vinitha. She was my benchmate, a friend who stood by my side on all situation. Miss you a lot dear.
I miss all of you, dears :(
Now there was another place where I got friends, office. Here the friendship was not based on innocence. People were no more innocent, I was in a world of adults, very selfish, hurting, abusing… Amidst of all these I got few gems. I am happy about it and very thankful.
Suresh ettan, Cethal, Shoma, Sruthi, Gokul, Anz ettan, Dipu ettan, Rai, Rahim bhai, Nitya, Tharun ettan, Kiran, Merin, Majoosh ettan… There are many of them.
But I should mention one name, a person, who cared for me than him, a person who was not only a friend but also gave me protection of a brother, Prahlad. He stood for me when everyone raised their fingers on me. He defended me when all were against me. He was the best. Prahlad, if you are reading this, you really mean a lot to me :) .
Enough of praising, else you will start eating my head.

Prahlad is a person, who fights with me always, who eats my brain, who irritates me, but at the end of the day he make sure that I have a smile on my face.

I should also mention a friend, who always cares for me, love me, always stand for me, encourage me, makes me feel that I’m good, help me to find out my instincts. I won’t mention his name ;)

Thank you all my friends and love you all. Have a very happy friendship day.

A phone call

A phone call from a long lost friend. Its always soothing. And if its from your “old-best friend” its more sweet.

I got a call from such a person today. I don’t say its from a long lost friend but I didn’t have any contact with her for 2 years. I’m really proud to say that I’m still friends with people who studied with me in kindergarden. But with this friend I somehow lost contact.

Her call reminded me of my good old college days. It was real fun. My college was girls only college. But there were students from all over India. My class was like a mini India. People spoke different languages, were of different culture, different religion.

My “long-lost” friend is from Tamil Nadu. She is a gem of a person. We both used spend long hours at canteen, college ground. It was always fun with her. She is a great story teller. She used to narrate me tamil movie stories which she did fantastically. She was a person who stood with me at bad times.

Engineering is always documentation and documentation. She used to help me with it usually. But once so it happened that I had to help her with lab records. She had chicken pox and had to stay at home till day before the lab practical exams. Our tutor asked her to submit record by taking xerox copy of my record. So we decided to go out the very same day since she had to submit her record the next day.

We started from our college hostel to take the xerox. Let me tell you, my college is in a remote place with no or less transport facilities. The only transport was a mini bus which came there 4 times a day. And we missed the bus :(

We had to walk for an hour to reach the nearest town. We got a bus to xerox shop. We took the copy of record and while coming back, bus met with an accident. Fortunately, all the passengers in the bus were safe or had only minor injuries.

We had to board another bus. We didn’t understand that this is just a start of a small adventure.

We reached college just to find that we have left my record at the xerox shop. Oh my Gosh!!! We had to rush back to xerox and reach back by 6 pm. It was already 4.30.  We rushed to the bus stop only to find we missed the mini bus again.

This time we reached the nearest town by 45 minutes. We reached the xerox shop but it was closed :(

We inquired about the shopkeeper in near by shops. Thank God, he had given my record to one of the shopkeepers near by.

We were actually elated. Then we thought of having an ice-cream. Our usual hangout was unusually crowded. It took more than 20 minutes to get our ice-creams. It was already 5.45 pm. Till to date I don’t understand why we decided to have ice-cream that time.

We were already convinced that we will not reach by 6 at hostel. We got into bus.  This time our bus was had some trouble with engine. It got stopped in the mid way.

Oops. Really ridiculous, isn’t it? Got another bus and reached college gate. Then there comes our next problem, watchman. He stood at gate like a monster guarding his treasure.

He won’t let us in since we were late. Let me remind you, we had our exams tomorrow. My “long lost” friend was in the verge of tears. It became my sole responsibility to trick the watchman. I asked my friend to act as if she is fainting. The watchman had no other choice but to call few other students and let us in with them.

Thank God, we were in. Now the next hurdle was my hostel warden. We used to call her frog because of her looks. She had a croaking voice too.

She never let in people who are late without any explanation from dean. There were 100 procedures to meet the dean. We were in the worst situation possible. We decided to tell her what happened, but we had no hope that she will listen. She was in a good mood and unexpectedly she let us in.

By the time all these got over it was 8.30. We started studying by 9.30 and suddenly there was a power failure. Its was really a bad day. So we decided to sleep so that the day will come to end.

Any how that was the end of the day.

My friend’s call freshened up all those little little adventures in my college life. The experiences are either bitter or sweet when we experience them, but always the sweetest later in our life.

Thank you my dear for reminding of all those sweet little things in my life :)
