For a flower bud :)

My brother became a father, i.e., I am an aunty now :D
When he told me this happy news, the first thing which wandered into my mind was a long wait at a hospital, 20 years back, the day my sister was born.
I was really excited to know that I will have a brother or a sister to play with. When I reached hospital, there was a huge crowd, including my aunts, uncles, grandparents, my dad and few other relatives. I stood along with them outside the delivery room with excitement. I thought the baby will be able to play with me from the second it is born. Well, I was a small kid ;)
Atlast a nurse came and told that a girl baby was born. Hurraaayyyy!!! I had a sister to play with. Mom and baby were brought to the room. I was allowed to see the baby. It was browny but plumpy girl. No, she was actually fat. Her cheeks were so fat that it hid her eyes and nose. Her lips were so small that you cannot see her mouth. Oh my God. She is not beautiful at all. I slowly touched her cheeks and took her hands in mine. My mom asked ” Do you want to hold her in your lap?”. I said a quick yes.
I told the baby in my lap. I can still help the warmth of her body and remember the way she was looking. A chill ran through my spines. I am actually holding my sister…. I don’t know why, but my eyes water, whenever I think about it.
Now I tell my sister that it is because I knew a catastrophic disaster was in its way. But actually I was happy :)
Unlike my sister niece has an angelic look Can’t wait to see her :)
Congrats bhaiya and babhi :)
Love you

Me and my creativity

Something hilarious happened few days back… Somebody asked me to write a story.. I mean a real story. My reaction was What??????????? I’m not going to tell you what kind of story he asked me write and for what purpose. I leave that for your imagination.

Let us call my friend Mr. H. Mr.H read my blog and was particularly fond of the post about my kitten. He said he liked the way I described the first time chinu came to my home. For those who have not read my previous post, chinu is my kitten.  And Mr.H appreciated my creativity and the way I see the small things. But I must tell you Mr.H, its you who taught me how to find happiness in small things. You are the one who inspired me to find the inner spark in life.

Now let us come back to my creativity. I feel I’m the least creative person alive in this world. Or a person with less imagination. I do dream a lot, but I’m not sure if I have enough of it to write a story.

I have always felt that a good lier have good imagination. This concept is based on a real incident. It goes like this…

Long time ago, 30 years back, there lived a little girl. She had 2 younger sisters and 1 brother and many cousins. I think there were around 10 kids living in same home.  Now the heroine of our story is the eldest of all. Being eldest and since she was promoted to higher class, she went to a different school.( primary school and high school were different in those days).

One day after returning from school, her curious siblings asked, how is the new school and how is it different from their school? Even though she couldn’t find much difference between the schools, she didn’t want to disappoint them. She said, its lot different. The students are different and teachers are different etc. But they were not satisfied. They began to ask her more and more questions. Atlast she told about a girl in her class, her friend Ruby. This friend of hers, is very pretty, fair, in a whole a lovely damsel. She came to school in car(car was rare in their place at that time). And Ruby always wore colour dress even though, uniform was strict in the school. This girl is special than others. She is as if she came directly from a fairy tale.

And the story about Ruby grew fascinating day by day. It included little adventures they both had. A year passed by, 2 of our heroines siblings were to join high school this year. They were really excited because they are going to meet Ruby today.  When they reached school, they first searched for Ruby and found that this girl never existed and she was just imagination by their elder sister.

The heroine of the story is my mom’s elder sister. I really love the way she tells stories. You should listen to her, while she explains something. You will feel as if you are actually there.

Unfortunately, non of us got her creativity :(

My sweet little kitten

One evening my neighbor gave me a kitten. A cute little kitten. It had the most curious pair of eyes and innocent looks. It slowly came to me and gave a “where am i now?” look. It must have been wondering, why his master took him away from his mother, and where has he bought it.

It slowly took an uncertain step towards me. Then everything happened so fast. She went straight into my room. She started behaving like it has been her home for years.

The next thing she did is, she found a permanent place at my mom’s lap. Now she protests with her nails and teeth if me or my sister tries to get a place in mom’s lap. God, that make me jealous!!!!!!

Oh, well!! we got her a new name. At first it was Dicrus Perrara akka Dicru. We thought it is a “he” not “she”. Later when we found that she is “she” and rechristened her Chinu. She must have become my mom’s pet, but earned two enemies, me and my sis. And of course Pogo(my dog). There were no usual cat and dog fight first. They seemed to be comfortable with each other. They used to share same dish and used to play together. Pogo also got angry when he saw that chinu has become  mom’s pet and chinu follow my mom where ever she goes.

I have to say that she does have a cute look and an amazing charm which helps to earn lots of friends(and some jealous enemies too).

I too like her… ok, ok… I love her :)
