More than a good movie. Okay, an excellent one. The story is not new, its been told many times. But this story stands out for the way it said. Old wine in brand new bottle. The movie is all about 5 friends Prakash, Praveen, Santhosh, Purushu and Kuttu. Their friendship, how they come up in life etc…
If you have seen rock-on, you may feel this movie took some inspiration from it. But I would say Malarvadi stands out in recently released movies. It has everything mixed in right proportion, with great looks.
Actors did a decent job. The background scores by Shaan were awesome. Music was good. Script was good. The story had a pace. It will never make you bored even though the climax can be predicted from the beginning of the second half. The only thing I didn’t like about the movie was it have some some punches making fun of girls. Well!! It can be because I’m a girl 
Song lyrics are so simple that even I can sing the songs. The tunes are not too sophisticated you might that your tongue twists. Simple lyrics with simple tunes. ”Innoree Mazhayil” is my favorite song in the movie. I loved “kashmalan” song too even though it was not included in the movie.
The heros are handsome… 
They had the looks of boys next door. I guess, I have seen similar faces here at my place too. Even though there are no heroines in the movies, the lead ladies also did good job.
